When I was planning our cross country move which required air travel I wanted something to make my children more comfortable. I came across the Koala Kloud Inflatable Footrest and decided to give it a try.
I bought two (one for each kid) but I ended up only using one. Each cost approximately $18 on Amazon. It comes in a carry case and clip so you can easily stuff it in your carry on or personal item.
How it works: You have to manually inflate the footrest but when you’re on an airplane the pressure makes inflation easy. Only inflate to 85% – 90% so you don’t over inflate.
It originally looked small once it was inflated but when I put it on the floor it was perfectly level to the seat cushion. I laid a baby blanket across the seat and footrest and laid my 7 month old on it when he fell asleep.
Now I tried having my almost 3 year old use it but he wasn’t comfortable. I think he was too long. In my opinion, I think this works best for kids 18 months and younger. Of course it all depends on the length of your child.
Overall I’m really glad I purchased this product. I don’t think I’ll be using it often because I only plan to use it during air travel but I love how compact it is and how easy it is to use.
